Rachel Huber
undergraduate (rice, 2027)
Rachel joined the Fazal Lab in January of 2025 as an undergraduate. Her current focus is on the RNA binding protein hnRNPM and its role in transcript localization.
She is currently pursuing a degree in Cell Biology and Genetics at Rice University. Rachel plans to graduate in 2027 and further explore her interests in medical school. She joined the Fazal Lab with a particular interest in transcript regulation pathways and how their disruption contributes to neurodegeneration and cancer.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys biking, discovering coffee shops, practicing hot yoga, and baking.
